A tenugui is a Japanese hand towel made from cotton. Until a few decades ago, these cloths were very popular in Japan as towels or head coverings. These days you'll still see them used in many Japanese festivals, as part of a participant's costume. People also give them as a gift, or use them for decoration. You can find them decorated with a wide variety of exquisite designs, and some people even collect them.
Compact Impact is proud to introduce to you the unique tenugui-hon. These beautiful pieces are a work-of-art within a work-of-art. The tenugui have been bound like a book, inside which you'll find wonderful examples of traditional Japanese art.
