Kancept's concept is pretty cool. It's a website that allows designers and inventors to parade their ideas, at the same time giving visitors a chance to comment on what they see.
The Chicago-based company has already attracted more than 150 concepts, and is building rapidly as the site gains wider exposure.
Each page features a picture of a creation or concept (usually a computer mock-up or a prototype) with a short explanation beside it.
There's also a chance for you to vote on whether you’d buy the product, which adds a bit of fun to the proceedings, as well as providing useful feedback for the designer. Feedback also comes in the form of comments from readers, so feel free to add your own.
The site contains a range of cool and creative ideas, from the bizarre ‘inflatable fridge’ to the ultra-stylish ‘transparent toaster’.
Whether you're serious about design or would just like to see some great ideas dreamed up by innovative minds, Kancept is well worth a visit. And if you’ve got any great ideas of your own, put ‘em up!
