Handling
Follow these guidelines to prevent damage and malfunction:
Do not tilt the main unit while setting the tank.
Doing so may cause water to spill
Wipe condensation off the tank and main unit before setting the tank.
Wipe the base dry as well to avoid water stains.
Make sure that the vapor outlet is not blocked.
Do not over humidify.  This may cause mildew or condensation in the room.
Clean the product regularly.
Do not let the humidifier freeze.  In case of possible freezing, make sure to remove all water from the tank and main unit.
Only use tap (potable) water
Do not use chemicals, aromatics, fragrances, aroma oils, dirty water, seawater, mineral water, alkali-ion water, and minus-ion water.

Where to use the humidifier
Use on a level and stable location.
Leave sufficient space around the humidifier as indicated in the figure.

Do not use in these locations:
Where there is direct sunlight or hot air.  On or near appliances such as heater or TV. On or near materials that are heat sensitive.
Where furniture, drapery, walls, and ceiling maybe directly exposed to the vapor
On floor or tatami.
On soft surfaces such as carpet, mattresses and futon.
Unstable place such as tall tables.

Before Use (add water in the tank)

1.Remove the tank
-Use both hands & remove slowly as moister in the cap may drip.
2.  Turn the tank upside down and place on a level surface
-Use the handle inside the tank.

How to set the handle:
1.Stand the handle
2.Pull up the handle
How to restore the handle:
1.Push down the handle
2.Fold down the handle
Do not force the handle to fold while it is pulled up.

3. Add water in the tank.
-Unscrew the cap counterclockwise, while the handle is down
-Insert the funnel in the feeder opening
-Add water slowly.  Do not exceed the level in the water level window.
*Make sure that the tank is level
-Put the cap back on tightly. Wipe the tank dry.
Do not add aromatic, hot, or contaminated water.
Do not add water directly to the main unit.  Always use the tank.
4.Set the hood in the main unit.
(The hood is initially set at the time of purchase.)
-Fit the 2 cleaning filters, then the hood in the heating plate.
-Fit the hood into the main unit by matching up the notches.
-Turn clockwise to set. (Check that the triangle setting marks on the main unit and hood match)
5.Set the tank in the main unit
-Place the main unit on a level and firm surface.
-Turn the tank filled with water upside down. (Make sure that the handle is retracted and cap is on)
-Set the tank on the main unit, matching the triangle setting marks.
(After setting the tank, push on it lightly to make sure that it is set correctly to avoid vapor leakage.  Do not move the humidifier after tank is set.)
*Attaching and detaching the tank repeatedly or moving the humidifier after setting the tank may result in overflow of water into the main unit, which may activate the water level sensor.   When this occurs, empty the main unit completely and re-set the tank.

How to use the humidifier

1.Connect the cord set
-Connect the magnetic plug to the main unit.
*Do not tilt the main unit, as this may cause water to enter the vent and activate the water sensor or cause spilling.
-Connect the power plug to an outlet.
You will hear a beep indicating that the power is on.
*Make sure that you connect the magnetic plug first before the power plug.

2.Use the operation button to select the desired setting.
-Each time you press the button, the setting will change in the order of “Normal”, “Extended”, and “Off”
-When you press this button, you will hear a beep and the indicator light will go on or off.

Normal mode: operates at 230W (Humidification speed approx.  300cc/h). It will start after approximately 5 minutes. (Both indicator lights on, 2 short beeps)
Extended mode: operates at half the energy consumption as normal mode. (Humidification speed is also half).  It will start approximately in 7 minutes. (Right indicator light on, one short beep)
-For quick start up, begin with normal mode until it reaches a fixed temperature, then switch to extended mode.
Off: The fan will shut off in approximately 20 minutes. (No indicator light.  One long beep)

*The length of time it takes to start humidifying will vary according to
the room’s temperature and humidity.

If there is too much water in the main unit:
When turning the power on, and pressing the operation button, both indicator lights will blink and the alert will sound. This may occur if you repeat attaching and detaching the tank or move the unit with the tank attached. Empty the main unit and re-set the tank.
If water is running out:
While humidifying, both lights will blink and the alert will sound.  Add water in the tank and reset it.
In both cases, the heater will turn off, but the fan will stop after 20 minutes.

3. Press operation button to turn off.
-If you are in normal mode, press twice, if in extended mode, once to turn off.  You will hear a long beep and the Indicator lights will turn off.

If you do not plan to use the humidifier for a long period,
-Disconnect the power plug
-Disconnect the magnetic plug from the main unit
-Remove all water from the tank and the main unit.
*Make sure to take off the hood and tilt the main unit in the marked draining direction away from the vent to avoid the water from getting into the vent.

Draining
Remove the tank from the main unit. Remove the hood and cleaning filters from the main unit. Pour out the water towards the draining direction marked on the main unit to prevent water from getting into the vent.
*Remove the hood to prevent water from getting into the vent and main unit.
*Disconnect the power plug and let the hot water cool first.
*If the gasket comes off, put it back on.

How to use the aroma pot
*Use store bought aroma oil.
1. Put aroma oil in the pot.
-Remove the aroma pot from the tank first. (Hot water may spill if the aroma oil gets on the heating plate)
-Fill the pot only half way or less. (If any moisture gets in the pot and causes the content to exceed half way, remove the oil at once.  The oil level should always be below halfway.)

2. Set the aroma pot in the center of the tank.
-Be careful not to spill the aroma oil.
*Avoid setting the aroma pot while the humidifier is in use or immediately after use.
*Put aroma oil only in the aroma pot. Putting it anywhere else may cause hot water to spill.
*Do not add aroma oil while humidifier is in use to prevent burns.
*If you spill any aroma oil onto the heating plate or hood, turn off the humidifier, dump out the water, and wipe the oil off.

Maintenance
*Follow these cleaning steps once or twice a week.  Leaving the humidifier dirty will effect its performance or may cause malfunction and unpleasant odor.
*Do not use benzene, paint thinner, alcohol or alkaline detergent, as these will damage the product.

Warning:
Disconnect the power and magnetic plugs and let the humidifier cool first.
Do not use chlorine, acidic, or alkaline cleaner. Do not use solid-type pot cleaner.
After cleaning, let all the parts dry completely before use.

Main Unit
Wipe with soft cloth.
*For tough stains, soak cloth with diluted dish soap and wipe. Follow with a dry cloth.
*Check that the ring gasket is properly in place.

Tank
Put small amount of water in the tank, close the cap and shake.  Pour out water.
*Repeat 2 or 3 times for thorough cleaning.

Hood, Gasket
Rinse with water. (If the gasket comes off, put it back on)
*As the gasket wears out, steam will enter the tank and result in condensation. (In winter, temperature difference between the tank and the heating plate may cause increased condensation.  This is not due to a worn gasket)

Hood needs to be replaced when too much condensation starts to build on the surface.  Contact manufacturer for purchasing the part.

Cleaning Filters
Rub under running water until soft.
*Mineral deposits harden the filters and may slow down humidification or cause leaking.

Cleaning filters need to be replaced if broken or if there is too much lime is build-up.
Contact manufacturer for purchasing parts.

Aroma Pot
Rinse with diluted dish soap and water. Dry well. Wash any oil off your hands.

Magnetic Plug Inlet, Magnetic Plug
Disconnect the power plug and magnetic plug.  Remove dust from the magnetic plug inlet and magnetic plug with a cotton swab.

Filter Cover (Air Filter)
-Pull out the filter cover horizontally as shown in the figure.  Dump out water if there is any in the receptacle.
-Remove the air filter and lightly dust off.  For heavy build up, wash in water and dry in shade.
-Wash filter cover with diluted dish soap and water.

If the receptacle collects water frequently or there is a leak, contact manufacturer.

Heating Plate
-Remove the hood and cleaning filters from the main unit.  Pour out water away from the vent to prevent damage.  (Disconnect the power plug and let the water cool first)
-Remove any deposits and clean with a wet cloth.
*Clean frequently. If left unclean for a long period, it maybe difficult to clean.
*For tough lime, try citric acid cleansing (see following section)
*Do not use metallic brush or abrasive material on the heating plate.

If any water enters the main unit, call manufacturer.

Citric Acid Cleansing
For tough lime build-up on the heating plate, try this method.
1.Remove tank and hood.  Pour out water away from the vent.
2.Put 5g of citric acid on the heating plate.  Put the hood back on.  Add water in the tank up to water level mark and set it on the main unit.
*Too much citric acid will damage the humidifier.
*Only use store bought powder citric acid.  Read instructions for citric acid carefully.  Do not use solid (block) type.
3.Connect the cord set.  Press operation button once to run on normal mode for 1 hour.
4.Press operation button twice to shut off.  Let it cool for at least an hour.  Remove the tank and hood.  Pour out water away from the vent. Use soft cloth to wipe off any residue.
5.Reset the hood and tank.  Remove the hood and tank after water fills the heating plate. Repeat 2 to 3 times.
6.Change the water in the tank to get rid of residual citric acid.

-Because of the odor of citric acid, this cleansing should be done in a ventilated area.
-Citric acid is a food additive and is harmless. However, keep away from children.

Storing
1.After cleaning the humidifier parts, dry completely.
-Pour out the tank completely.  Leave the cap off to dry completely.
-You may use a dry cloth through the opening to absorb any remaining moister inside the tank. Be careful not to drop the cloth into the tank.
2.Dry the cleaning filters and air filters completely.
3.Store all parts in the original box.
*Put the cord in a plastic bag. (Styrofoam may damage the cord)
*Store in a cool and dry place.

Troubleshooting
Check the following before considering repair:
Problem:   Cause:    Remedy:
No steam
Tank is empty
Add water in the tank
Steam has odor
Heating plate and/or cleaning filters are dirty
Follow maintenance instructions

Water is old
Replace water in the tank and main unit
Main unit leaks
Tank’s cap is loose
Tighten cap.  If the problem persists, contact manufacture.

Tank was shaken, humidifier was not level, or water was added directly to the main unit
After replacing water in the tank and main unit, do not disturb the parts.

You are using aromatics, hot water above 40°C , or dirty water.
Replace water in the tank and main unit
The following are not signs of malfunction.
Condition:     Cause:
Bubbling sound during use or when tank is set
This is caused by the water moving from the tank into the main unit.
Takes long time for vapor to appear
It takes some time for humidification to start after pressing the operation button.  The atmospheric temperature and humidity may also make it hard to see the vapor.
Noise during use
This is caused by the fan and heater.
Ventilation continues after tank is empty
To cool off, the fan continues for 20 minutes for cooling after the heater is shut off.
Water drops
Water drops may form from condensation inside the tank as a result of temperature or humidity change. Before setting the tank, wipe it and the main unit dry. Maintain surfaces dry to avoid water stains.
When turning the power on and pressing the operation button, both indicator lights blink.
This occurs as a result of too much water flowing from the tank to the main unit. Remove all water from the main unit and reset the tank.
Both indicator lights blink during use.
The tank is empty. Refill the tank.

Reading Indicator lights for problems:
If a problem occurs, the humidifier will stop.  You will see the following indicator lights and hear a beeping alert.

Indicator Lights
Right blinks 2 times
repeatedly
Right blinks 3 times
repeatedly
Right blinks 4 times
repeatedly
Left and Right alternates
Cause
Overheat prevention mechanism is on.
Fan has stopped
-Humidity sensor is broken
-Heater is broken
Check
-Is the air filter dirty?
-Is the vapor outlet blocked?
-Is the base blocked?
-Are you using it in a tight space?
-Are there other heating devices nearby?

Remedy
1.Disconnect the power plug and let the main unit cool completely.
2.Eliminate conditions above.
Contact manufacture.
If problem persists:
-There is a problem with water-level sensor.
-Water route is blocked
→Do not operate the humidifier. Contact manufacture

If you continue to operate with the overheat prevention mechanism and the temperature drops, indicator lights will show:
(In both cases, try the remedy steps.)
Left on, right blinks 2 times
Left on, right blinks 3 times
